Starry Night

Standard

I really do love writing pantoums, but I’m usually impeded by being unable to come up with a first line. But once I have a first line I start getting some ideas. So I’ve started using the titles of some of the books in my library for the first lines to get me started off.

A forest of stars fills the sky
When the city lights go out
You can see every star in the heavens
So close you can actually sense it

When the city lights go out
The darkness is almost palpable
So close you can actually sense it
Feel it brush up against your skin

The darkness is almost palpable
It’s a beautiful thing to behold
Feel it brush up against your skin, and
Caress you in a robe of black

It’s a beautiful thing to behold
So close you can actually sense it
Caress you in a robe of black, when
A forest of stars fills the sky

About windwalker07

I'm a Jamerican; American born of 2 Jamaican parents. I am a voracious reader, a writer, a wife and a mother of 5 (1 girl). My favorite genre is science fiction but I will read anything. my favorite author right now is Lee Child (this changes often) I listen to all kinds of music but my favorites are jazz, Latin-jazz and classical. I write whatever comes to me and I've learned to start whether I have something or not.
