The Noblest.

Standard

As I lay in bed I wonder
What have I done with my life
And I think that it as wasted.
Then I remember my children
And the times I spent with them
And the things that they have done
And that’s when I know, that
Of all the things I could have done
I did the noblest.

Me

Standard

I decided to do an anagram based on the two names I’ve been known by; the one since childhood and the other is the one I chose. By the way, the 2nd means, “Pleasant companion in conversation.” I chose that name because people always told me I was easy to talk to.

Precocious—– Sensuous
Ambitious——Arduous
Unparalleled—-Magnificent
Lusty———–Eloquent
Incredible——-Extraordinary
Noteworthy —-Remarkable
Enduring ——-Astonishing
—————-Humane

Amazing 2

Standard

Okay, so here is a quick rewrite. I think it sounds better, it runs more smoothly. This poem arose out of a quote I read, here it is:-  “Want people to think you’re amazing? Start believing you are, and then they will too.”  So I thought, what would happen if I DID think I was amazing. And I started writing.

I thought I was amazing,
There was nothing I couldn’t do
So I lived my life boldly.
I enjoyed every minute

There was nothing I couldn’t do
Not a thing outside my ken
I enjoyed every minute
That was the best part of all

Not a thing outside my ken
And all my dreams came true
That was the best part of all
And now I have no regrets

And all my dreams came true
So I lived my life boldly
And now I have no regrets
Because I thought I was amazing.

Amazing

I know this poem needs work but I didn’t want to go too long a time without making a post of some kind, and I was enjoying writing poems so much last month. Maybe I’ll make another post soon rewriting this poem. But for now I just want to keep posting things.

I thought I was amazing,
There was nothing I couldn’t do
So I lived my life boldly.
Enjoying every minute

There was nothing I couldn’t do
Not a thing outside my ken
Enjoying every minute
Was the best part of my life

Not a thing outside my ken
Making all my dreams come true
Was the best part of my life
For now I have no regrets

Making all my dreams come true
So I lived my life boldly
For now I have no regrets
Because I thought I was amazing.

So this is love

Standard

Okay, I had to get a poem ready; I don’t know why I’m still trying to get out a poem a day but I’m liking the challenge, so here goes.

Hearts and roses,
Fire and ice
These are the things
That make love poems nice

But what if I wooed you
With pizza and chicken
Would those be the things
That would get your heart kickin’

Love languages differ
From another to one
One’s happy with flowers
Another needs fun

But when we are together
It’s always just right
Though I stay on the ground
My poor heart is in flight.
